Members of the Michigan Event Team are responsible for ensuring that Stadium guests feel welcome and that all policies and procedures are followed to make the game day experience an enjoyable and safe one.

Work attire is provided for all events
Parking
At Football games, a free shuttle ride is available from Wolverine Tower to Michigan Stadium for Team Members.
Food & Beverage
At Football games, a free shuttle ride is available from Wolverine Tower to Michigan Stadium for Team Members.
Be Part of the Team
During the Football season, food and beverages are provided for each game.
Annual Golf Tournament
An Event Team Golf Tournament takes place every August for returning Event Team Members
Holiday Event
An appreciation event will be held after the football season. The appreciation event includes dinner and a raffle.
Working Sporting & Special Events
Event Team Members are needed for all home athletic events. Also, there is opportunity to work Special Events at athletic facilities consisting of weddings, banquets, and more.

WHAT TYPES OF POSITIONS CAN I APPLY FOR?

Open positions are posted every March for the upcoming season

Guest Services

Responsibilities Include:

Attend to the needs of guests and assist our Game Operations Team with providing exceptional customer service

Work with all Event Team Members to provide “Exceptional Experiences for Every Guest"

Assist in providing service recovery when issues arise

Response Team Member

Responsibilities Include:

Members who receive special training and work with our Game Operations Team when escalated situations arise

Handle escalated situations

Aid in enforcement of all policies and procedures

Serve as primary liaison between Event Team Members and law enforcement

Shuttle Drivers

Responsibilities Include:

Pick up guests at assigned concourse and parking lot locations

Ensure guests are transported to their desired locations

6-passenger carts and wheelchair-accessible carts

Ticket Takers

Responsibilities Include:

Ensure guests have valid tickets for entry and enforce prohibited items policy

Screen and enforce prohibited items

Greet guests

Swipe tickets using scanner

TOWER ATTENDANTS

Responsibilities Include:

Ensure guests and staff entering club and suite levels have proper credentials and/or tickets and assist them with anything they need

Stairwell Attendants

Ticket Takers

Attendants in the Elevator Lobby, Press Box and/or Photo Deck

USHERS

Responsibilities Include:

Assist guests in finding their seats while assisting with anything else they need while inside the stadium

Greet guests as they enter their sections

Make sure guests have a proper ticket for that section

Ensure orderly process of ushering fans into and out of their section

WHEELCHAIR ATTENDANTS

Responsibilities Include:

Assisting persons with a disability by either taking them to a destination or by taking a wheelchair to them

Ensure guests are transported to their desired locations

Being ready at all times to assist guests when needed

ALTERNATE/SUBSTITUTE

Responsibilities Include:

Need for “fill-ins” every game

Required to attend summer training session

Chance to become a “full-time” member of the team!

Questions
Can I only work football games?
Yes, a large portion of the Event Team only works Football games.
Can I work other sports besides football?
Yes, you will have the opportunity to work at any of the events we have Event Team Members scheduled.
Will i get to see the game?
Whether you will be able to see the game or not depends on your position. When interviewing for a position on the team, you will be asked where you prefer to work.
how do i know what to do when i am working?
After going through the hiring process, attending a summer training session is required to work on the Event Team. At the summer training session, you go through a training PowerPoint and meet with your supervisor and co-workers to learn what happens on a typical game day.
are opportunities available to work events outside of michigan athletics?
Yes, the University of Michigan Athletic Department has hosted ICC Soccer matches featuring top soccer clubs and the NHL Winter Classic.

There are also opportunities to work special events hosted at the University of Michigan Athletic facilities. These events include weddings, receptions, banquets, and more.
what do i wear?
If you are hired to work as an Event Team Member, you will be provided with a blue polo, baseball hat or visor, a winter hat, and a jacket.

For Special Events and events held in Crisler Center it is common to wear a sweater vest and tie uniform which will be provided if you are scheduled to work.
where do i park?
arking varies based on the venue and event you are working. For most events, parking is available in the surrounding lots.

For football games, a shuttle service is provided from Wolverine Tower for working personnel.
will a meal be provided?
It depends on the event. You will be informed ahead of time if a meal is provided at an event you are working.

During football games, a hot meal is provided to Event Team Members.
